A 36-year-old woman broke into her family’s house and stole an assortment of items from her bed-ridden mother while she was sleeping, according to police.

Two car accidents involving deer were back to back in Monroe one night when one deer ran into the side of a car, then another animal jumped in front of the bumper of the vehicle right behind it. No drivers were hurt, but one deer died from its injuries.

A woman's attempt to flee Greenwich Police who were trying to arrest her oncharges she forged stolen checks was thwarted when she tripped on a curb and fell. The incident happened near the Chase Bank in Cos Cob, where she is accused of trying to cash the fraudulent checks.

A 50 year-old Westport woman was arrested after allegedly  and artwork by fraudulently writing checks for the items on her checking account, which did not have the funds available, according to police.

Two fire department chiefs and a state trooper were able to recover their stolen emergency lights from their work vehicles this week when two volunteer Stamford firefighters and two juveniles were charged in the thefts.

Stamford police discovered a man to whom they were trying to serve a warrant when an officer spotted the suspect's feet sticking out of the bottom of a closet. Police also allegedly discovered a quantity of marijuana in the home, where two children were sleeping.

According to Darien Police: A few weeks after a dating relationship ended between a Darien woman and a 28-year-old Norwalk man, he repeatedly called and texted her. That didn't restart the relationship. He went to her home and banged on the door before 5 a.m. That didn't get him anywhere either. Then he broke the bathroom window and crawled through it.
