$50,000 of Heroin Forgotten at Milford Hotel

The three suspects, now in custody, came back and asked to rent their previous room while Milford Police were at the hotel.

 

The cleaning crew at the discovered more than just an unmade bed while cleaning a room on Wednesday, rather 3 1/2 ounces of heroin and 508 packaged wax folds of heroin totaling 7.6 ounces.

seized the heroin, a portion of which was still in a solid form and had not been broken down into powder. The heroin had an estimated street value of $50,000.

While Police were at the hotel, Curran Lake, 20, David Jefferson, 19, and Sean Reid, 26, allegedly approached the Garden Inn's front desk, asking to rent the same room that they had previously stayed in. Police took the three males into custody.

Lake, of New Haven, and Jefferson, of Bridgeport, were both charged with possession of narcotics, possession of narcotics with intent to sell, operating a drug factory, possession of drug paraphernalia and conspiracy for all of the above offenses.

Reid, of Bridgeport, was charged with conspiracy to possess narcotics, conspiracy to possess narcotics with intent to sell, conspiracy to operate a drug factory and conspiracy to possess drug paraphernalia.

Lake, Jefferson and Reid were all held on $250,000 bonds.
