Donations Given to No Vet Left Behind
Milford Rotary presented a financial gift and donated items to No Vet Left Behind at their November 10, 2011 luncheon at Aldario's Restaruant.
Tracy O’Brien, President of Milford Rotary, presented a check for $700 to founder and director of No Vet Left Behind, Mary E. Porter.
“We were actually able to donate more than originally budgeted, thanks to $150 collected from my customers at Marvin Display over the last month and another $200 that was raised during the meeting on Thursday,” reports Ms. O’Brien. “We also had quite a collection of food and clothing that our members and the Interact clubs from Foran and Law High Schools collected and donated. It was such a wonderful meeting, one of those that affirms my pride in our club, and the happiness that we were able to impact the lives of those in need.”
Milford Rotary has a standing committee focused on Veterans Affairs, chaired this year by Club member, Peggy Rogers.

I'm proud what the service clubs of Milford do for our community. The Kiwanis, Lions and Rotary are considered by a US Supreme Court decision to be business associations, unlike fraternal organizations. Each group is chaitable in certain fields but all work toward making Milford a better place for all to live.
Thanks Rotary
